Union Middle School Goals
Illinois State Goals for middle school students are to develop their control when performing combinations and sequences of locomotor patterns within activities. Showing students how to analyze efficient and inefficient movement. Having students identify offensive, defensive, and cooperative strategies in selected activities. Give knowledge of team sports, communicating, and leadership. Every month students will be introduced to a new sports unit. Students will be given a study guide and then be tested each month on that unit. To assess students’ fitness levels students will be tested the first and third trimester to assess their fitness levels. These are based off of the Presidential Fitness Testing.
