All students who need reading or math interventions will receive an intervention. Union school uses AIMSWEB, MAP, and PARCC testing to determine student needs. AIMSWEB tests check for your child's level of fluency, comprehension, letter naming, sound recognition and math fluency and competence. MAP testing will be completed two times this year in order to measure student growth in comparison to national norms. PARCC testing will occur twice this school year. This is the test that is replacing ISAT testing. Currently, Union school will test all students in grades 3-8 in reading, language skills, and math. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's academic process please contact your child's teacher.
